    Founded on November 1, 2007, the Vad Foundation supports medical research in the area of back pain and arthritis. The foundation also supports educational grants for girls and women from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Foundation has federal tax-exempt status.

    The foundation currently is supporting basic science research work at the Department of Zoology at the University of Oklahoma. The foundation has future plans to fund rehabilitation research on spinal stenosis as well as intra-discal therapies for back pain.
